We want you to have the best possible trip to Provence. It's a different pace of life, and living, and can take a little getting used to.

NOTHING happens very quickly in Provence, unless you are a local painter or plumber racing home for lunch. I have found that it takes at least 4 days to get into the swing of things. But even after 2 days you can feel the calm setting in.

 

IMPORTANT: Almost EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday, be prepared! This includes restaurants and grocery stores. The Sunday open air market at Ile sur La Sorgue is great place to stock up for lunch and dinner on Sunday, and Monday breakfast.
